It’s Quadrille Monday over at the dVerse Poets Pub. Today our writing prompt is the word, embrace. 44 words.
I’ve wondered about it often —
How it would feel
To be wrapped in your embrace.
Decorated in Fancy Red diamonds
as rare and dazzling as you are?
Or perhaps it’s more like
a draping of Mulberry silk.
Either way,
I can
only wonder.

Love this! The idea of embracing, the feel of it as “a draping of Mulberry silk,” is so beautiful! 💝💝

It sounds like a lovely daydream either way. It can feel the shimmering, sensuous feel of that silk.

Unrequited love seems the most intense. You captured that intensity.

This is a lovely poem, a little say, but maybe hopeful. I love seeing the Mulberry silk, only knew Mulberry from Dr Seuss’ street.
