My heart is a free spirit—wild like the wind.

It runs with a rough crowd and has no street smarts.

It can’t help but get broken no matter how hard I try to keep it safe.

Susan Marie Shuman is an author and freelance writer/editor who currently resides in the wilds of Birmingham, AL.
