Living In Moot Mode

SusanWritesPrecise/TheAbjectMuse

Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder about the lone shoe or boot on the side of the road?

How does that happen? Do drivers and/or passengers  take one off and dangle it out the car window until it slips from their grasp? If so, why?

Is it fun?

Are these people snubbing their noses at the bourgeois?

Or maybe, pedestrians are the culprits!

Picture it: a person is walking along and suddenly decides the left shoe is no damn good and ditches it on the spot. Get thee behind me, bad shoe!

Notice how you never see a pair of errant shoes, it’s always just one.

Why keep the right one? This pair of shoes has spent a lot of time in one another’s company. Surely, even in the shoe and boot microcosm, bad habits and questionable ideologies  rub off.

Something huge is afoot. I can feel it.

Nicely done! I myself captured a pair of errant shoes…dunno when I’ll post them, but these things do make us wonder.

I lost a shoe once. It was a horrific night. Too much wine, too little maturity. It can happen.

Around here, pairs are often tied together and thrown over power lines. Why? I haven’t a clue, but it seems to be something of A Thing.

I suspect too much alcohol, and too little maturity…it’s never sensible, mature shoes that are flung, but hip young shoes.

    1. At one time in certain neighborhoods, tossing a pair of sneakers over a power line indicated a drug house. Thanks for stopping by!

Humm… I guess maybe I had more maturity than I knew, because I had no idea about that. I drew the line at too much wine…and even that was decades ago!

Now I’m picturing the places I remember those shoes being and wondering….
